Magna-Dry has been cleaning wall-to-wall carpet in homes & businesses since 1985. Since that time, we have developed a real expertise in the methods and techniques that are necessary to clean the highly durable nylon or olefin carpet found in most residential or commercial environments.
When we discovered that our customers didn’t have a similar safe & effective choice when it came to cleaning their valuable, hand-made, wool and silk Oriental or other fine rugs, we wanted to provide a solution.
After conducting some research into traditional “rug” cleaning, Magna-Dry determined that the “old country / middle eastern” methods of total immersion gentle cleaning in moving water was the safest and best at removing the maximum amount of soil & returning rugs to their highest quality level without damage.
But…for MANY reasons, washing rugs in the nearest river wasn’t a practical option!
That’s when we discovered a unique cleaning system that replicates the old-country river-washing method of cleaning, but with modern technology. (See the video in the right column.) It delivered the best results without risking damage to the rug. The equipment used in the system allows Magna-Dry to utilize a process that is similar to sending your rug to a spa! Even the most delicate rugs can be safely cleaned in our total immersion process. Once the washing is complete and the soil is removed, the wet rugs are placed into a large centrifuge unit to safely and quickly remove nearly all of the water that a rug absorbs during cleaning.
This process imitates age-old washing & drying techniques and delivers outstanding cleaning results that completely flush out the dirt, dust, & debris and other contaminants that can build up in area rugs over time.
